Kenji Yanobe

Completed the Graduate School of Arts program at the Kyoto City University of Arts. Created large-scale machinery sculptures with working functions under the theme of “Survival in the modern world” since the early 1990s. His creative roots go back to the site of the Osaka Expo, “Remains of the Future,” where he played as a child. His series of works with societal messages hidden in the form of humor have received praise in Japan and overseas.
